Race car driver Brandon Brown, who had his first NASCAR victory at Alabama’s Talladega Superspeedway on Sunday, trolled an NBC Sports reporter who claimed that fans were cheering for him instead of jeering at President Biden.
“Let’s go Brandon,” Brown tweeted the Monday morning following his NASCAR Xfinity Series win. He followed up the post with a clarification that the message was “not political,” and he was “just feelin myself.”

The former used car salesman poked fun at NBC Sports reporter Kelli Stavast for claiming that fans at the event were cheering “Let’s go Brandon,” instead of their obvious taunts of “F**k Joe Biden!”
During the post-race interview, fans could clearly be heard collectively chanting the anti-Biden sentiment as Brown celebrated his win. “Oh my God, this is just everything we’ve hoped and dreamed for,” Brown said on camera. “Everything I’ve ever wanted to do is take the trophy home to mom and dad.”
The roar of the crowd grew louder as he continued to thank his supporters, and potentially in an effort to downplay the situation, Stavast remarked, “As you can hear the chants from the crowd — ‘Let’s go Brandon.’”
Donald Trump Jr. pointed out that he’s “pretty sure they’re not chanting “Let’s go Brandon” as the NBC reporter is telling us,” in a tweet sharing the video.

This past weekend, the anti-Biden chorus jumped from college football stadiums, where the chant has been gaining traction for the past month, and transitioned over to the pros, when Fans at the MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, NJ slammed the president during the New York Jets’ 27-24 win over the Tennessee Titans.
