Former President Donald Trump went after the “woke” U.S. women’s soccer team when they failed to secure a gold medal at the Tokyo Games, drilling in on nemesis Megan Rapinoe during his post.
The No. 1 ranked U.S. National team was heavily favored to take the gold, but only managed an Olympic bronze when they defeated Australia 4-3.
“If our soccer team, headed by a radical group of Leftist Maniacs, wasn’t woke, they would have won the Gold Medal instead of the Bronze. Woke means you lose, everything that is woke goes bad, and our soccer team certainly has,” Trump jeered in a statement on Thursday.
Last month he attacked them for kneeling in protest prior to their match-up with Sweden, which they lost in a brutal 3-0 blowout.
“The US Women’s Soccer team is a very good example of what’s going on,” he said at an Arkansas rally. “Woke politics takes the life and joy out of everything. Woke-ism makes you lose, ruins your mind and ruins you as a person. You become warped. You become demented.”
Trump echoed the sentiment in his latest remarks. “There were, however, a few Patriots standing,” he remarked. “Unfortunately, they need more than that respecting our Country and National Anthem. They should replace the wokesters with Patriots and start winning again.”
He gunned for soccer star Megan Rapinoe in his commentary, who he has publicly feuded with in the past. “The woman with the purple hair played terribly and spends too much time thinking about Radical Left politics and not doing her job!,” he concluded.
Trump and Rapinoe traded blows in 2019, when the soccer star said she was “not going to the f—ing White House,” when the team won the World Cup in a viral video.
The former president warned that she shouldn’t count her chickens before they hatch. “I am a big fan of the American Team, and Women’s Soccer, but Megan should WIN first before she TALKS! Finish the job!” He tweeted.
When the U.S. team won the tournament for a second consecutive year, Rapinoe responded, “I held up my end of the bargain.”

Rapinoe is without question a very talented athlete, but it seems that everything after that she comes up wanting. Just because a trend is currently popular doesn’t mean it’s good or of any societal value. While I agree Black Lives Matter the marxist organization that used this as a slogan to reap in massive amounts of money will never have my respect or agreeance.

President Trump is correct in stating that before mouthing off she should of guided the team to a victory they were never in contention for first place they competed for second place and played terrible and lost. its a lucky break for them they manage to come in 3RD that’s dead last for a team that was favored to win the GOLD..It serves them well for disrespecting the Flag and insulting the American people. Megan Rapinoe has two problems.
First, she has lost the respect of all TRUE Americans with her behavior on the world stage in Toyko by supporting a BLM – Marxist organization.
Her second, but BIGGER PROBLEM is her relationship with another woman. This runs counter to God’s Holy Word and God is blunt about who will not get into heaven; the sexually immoral and those who practice homosexuality are on the list (Corinthians 6:9).
Megan should be thrown off the team. She is disrespectful to our country. She is only there for herself. The Olympic Committee has done a horrible job of letting these protesters take over. They are here to represent our country, not themselves. Any protester should be thrown out as soon as they kneel when the anthem is played
I managed a couple of my daughters’ soccer teams and both the coach and I frequently scolded them, “never celebrate until the president calls!”
