Trump Returns to Social Media, Rogan Wants Him Back On Twitter

Former President Donald Trump has made his triumphant return to social media, but Joe Rogan won’t be impressed until he’s back on Twitter.

“I’M BACK! #COVFEFE,” Trump wrote in an inaugural post on his own platform Truth Social. He included a photo of himself on his phone, while standing in the middle of a croquet court in front of his Mar-A-Lago home.

Trump added the hashtag #COVFEFE to the caption as a throwback to a 2017 tweet, when he made a spelling error while jabbing at the mainstream media for how they criticized his administration.

The post marked his first social media activity in over a year, after he was banned from all major platforms in the wake of January 6, but Spotify star Joe Rogan would have been more impressed if it happened on Twitter.

“I wonder how quickly it is for Donald Trump’s back,” Rogan said after news of Elon Musk buying the platform for $44 billion broke. However, the former president has already mentioned he had no intentions of returning to the platform that banned him over fears his posts could incite additional violence.

“I am not going on Twitter, I am going to stay on Truth,” he told Fox News prior to the takeover. “I hope Elon buys Twitter because he’ll make improvements to it and he is a good man, but I am going to be staying on Truth.”

Rogan mocked the platform in an imitation of the 45th president’s voice. “Why are we playing around with this Twitter s**t, we should be on Truth Social. It is the best. The biggest of all time. They say that Twitter’s not as big.”

The podcaster wants Trump to go back on his promise. “Donald, reconsider,” Rogan urged. “Can you imagine the f***ing tweet? Look, do you want to win or not? You wanna f***ing win?”
