Actor Thomas Jefferson Bryd is now dead after reportedly being shot in Atlanta on Saturday.
Bryd is best known for his appearances in a number of films by director Spike Lee such as ‘Clockers,’ ‘He Got Game’ and ‘Ray.’

The death is the result of an apparent shooting, the Atlanta Police Department told Fox News in a statement.
The statement said that offers were dispatched on Saturday at 1:45 a.m. and “located a male lying unresponsive at the location.”
The man, later identified as Byrd, was pronounced “deceased from multiple gunshot wounds to the back.”
No suspects have yet been named and police are still investigating the exact circumstances of the shooting. Although a friend of Bryd reportedly stated that the shooting happened after Bryd got into an argument with an unknown individual at a store, who may have then followed him home.
