Former Mythbusters star Grant Imahara has passed away at the age of 49.
His sudden death is reportedly the cause of an aneurysm.
According to Fox News:
Grant Imahara, a longtime host of the Discovery Channel show “Mythbusters,” died of a brain aneurysm, Fox News has learned.
The television personality was 49 years old. A spokesperson for Discovery reacted to the news of Imahara’s passing in a statement shared with Fox News early Tuesday.
“We are heartbroken to hear this sad news about Grant. He was an important part of our Discovery family and a really wonderful man. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family,” the statement reads.
The spokesperson said the network was notified that a brain aneurysm was the cause for Imahara’s death but did not have any additional information to provide.

I really enjoyed Grant on Mythbusters. I am really sorry his has passed at such a young age. .y condolences to his family and colleagues
I was fan of the shoe and I am deeply saddened.
My condolences to the Imahara family. I enjoyed watching his contributions, as a member of the Mythbusters team. He was way too young to be afflicted with such dangerous condition. My only sister passed away from a brain aneurysm, as well. My greatest concern at the time, was, that she didn’t pass, while in pain and I hope it was the same for him. Its a shock to lose a family member to such a thing. Again, my sincerest regrets to Grant Imahara’s passing and hope the pain felt, is shortened by the love and caring shown by his surviving family and friends.
RIP Grant you will be missed for sure. Now there are no more myth’s to you. God Speed.
