Rock legend Stevie Nicks announced to her Facebook followers on Monday that she will ‘probably never sing again’ if she ends up being infected with the Coronavirus.
Nicks, best known as the vocalist for the rock group ‘Fleetwood Mac,’ made the announcement during a longer post in which she warned fans about the danger of coronavirus.
As The New York Post reports:
Nicks, who had a bout with the flu last spring, added COVID-19 “doesn’t care who you are…It’s just looking for a victim,” and that those who have struggled with the virus — which has claimed over 737,000 lives worldwide — will grapple with the “after effects.”
“Are you aware, everyone, that if you survive this virus~ you will be fighting the after effects for the rest of your life,” Nicks penned, noting “micro-blood clots” and “neurological problems.”
Nicks then offered a grim reality should she contract COVID-19.
“If I get it, I will probably never sing again. Put me on a ventilator and I will be hoarse for the rest of my life~ I don’t have much time… I am 72 years old….,” she wrote.
As of Wednesday there have been over 164,000 deaths due to coronavirus recorded in the United States.

Flu last Spring? She may have had Covid and not known what it was. Not many cases wind up critical and on a ventilator. A lot of cases of the virus, from the start of the annual flu season last Fall were misdiagnosed as the flu. A lot of people who had mild cases may not have even gone to the doctor. I think I was one of those in December with the different feeling flu I had.
