‘Saturday Night Live’ took aim at CNN this weekend and, in particular, news anchor Wolf Blitzer.

The sketch comedy show lampooned Blitzer for his fake persona of journalistic neutrality.

As The Daily Wire reports:

“Saturday Night Live” mocked CNN anchor Wolf Blitzer in its latest show, which featured Jim Carrey as a gleeful Joe Biden and Alec Baldwin as a glum President Trump.

The cold open began with Blitzer, played by Beck Bennett, who says “I’ve been awake for so long my weird stubbly beard finally makes sense.”

“For the folks at home who’ve been obsessively watching cable news all week, we’ve been teasing a big announcement and today it’s finally here. CNN can now project that Joe Biden will be the next president of the United States,” Bennett says to cheers.

“I know I’m supposed to be a neutral news anchor but G** d*** it, that feels good. Woooo!” he says.

I read down as far as Carrey and Baldwin at which point I aspirated into my wastebasket and rebooted.

SNL was almost enjoyable for the first 2-3 years… then it became tolerable, but the last 1/2-2/3 of it’s run it’s been down right torturous to watch (I quite watching after 1st year, and just ‘checked in’ a few times a year after that up until about 8 years ago, now nothing, the idiots that are “acting” there are total losers now.)

Now that’s a lot more funny than anything SNL has done in about 4 decades.

There is absolutely nothing funny about the fake news. Without real news, freedom is lost.

First year or so was ok. Now just a bunch of hacks with a washed up has been threw in once in a while

Thanks, for the warning, not to watch! But, nobody thinks SNL is funny anymore…it just occupies ‘space’ in the time-slot allotted…like cable TV, it’s become generic…
