In a bombshell interview, singer Ray J, who was the other participant in the sex tape that launched Kim Kardashian into superstardom, charged that her mother Kris orchestrated the film’s sale.

“I’ve sat in the shadows for over 14 years allowing the Kardashians to use my name, to abuse my name, make billions of dollars over a decade-and-a-half talking about a topic I’ve never really spoken about,” he told the Daily Mail.

“I’ve never leaked anything. I have never leaked a sex tape in my life,” Ray J continued. “It has never been a leak. It’s always been a deal and a partnership between Kris Jenner and Kim and me and we’ve always been partners since the beginning of this thing.”

The singer was villainized by the public for allegedly leaking the illicit tape, but said the contract he signed prevented him from disputing the narrative.

“For me, I’ve been walking on eggshells thinking I’m going to get in trouble for telling the truth and I’ve been holding onto it for the past 14 years and watching them humiliate me. They’re celebrating my destruction,” he explained.

He also noted that he “felt suicidal” watching the Kardashians create an empire based on a lie, while his career was negatively impacted.

“I couldn’t be a part of any reputable major network television show and do Dancing with the Stars, and do America’s Got Talent or anything like that because of my image,” Ray J stated. “Because of what they made me, I’m not allowed to be in those places.”

His decision to speak up came after the Kardashians chose to make the sex tape a storyline in their new Hulu series, and Kanye West claimed that he had retrieved a second unreleased sex tape from their four-hour meeting at Los Angeles International Airport.

Ray J claimed that the laptop he handed over to West only contained photos and messages Kardashian sent him during their four-year relationship between 2002 and 2006. He said the only sex tapes that exist have always remained in the Skims’ creator’s possession.

“I can’t live the rest of my life in this lie,” he concluded. “This morning, I woke up and said, you know what? For the remainder of my life, I’m going to live in my truth and not in the lie that’s been created by Kris Jenner and Kim. I will not let them do this to me anymore.”
