Saturday Night Live Star Pete Davidson attacked patriotic Americans protesting draconian Coronavirus lockdowns over the weekend during an episode of the show’s recurring ‘Weekend Update’ segment.
Davidson went on to complain that the protests made Staten Islanders ‘look like babies.

“SNL” star Pete Davidson said the anti-COVID lockdown protests there make the borough’s residents look like “babies” — but quipped that he’s glad that he’s no longer the “worst thing about Staten Island,” his native borough.
The “King of Staten Island” comedian riffed on the rallies outside the bar that declared itself a COVID-19 restriction “autonomous zone” when he appeared on the “Weekend Update” segment.
“I saw the protests, people were outside the bar shouting about freedom, talking to cops, chanting that they should arrest the governor so I just assumed that it was a typical last call,” Davidson said.

Davidson is an azz. There will be more shutdown-related than covid-related deaths if this continues.. not to mention devastated education among the younger kids.(That latter is already showing up as failing and declining grades in studies.) Humans are gregarious animals and require human companionship to develop properly and live happily. It’s not “socialization” (in any sense) which is important but fellowship and interpersonal bonding which does not happen when people cannot touch and hug each other.
Pete Davidson was spawned in your community, Staten Islanders. He is an ignoramus with no talent and yet he has rocketed to that level in his industry with that nothingness carrying him through. You educated him, raised him with those NY values and then you are surprised that this is how he responds? He is a product of his surroundings, most people are. If you are finally getting the picture that these kids have been poisoned from a young age to follow this path then it is all worth it. A society that has Pete Davidson as one of its prominent people is a society ready for a fall or a reboot. I feel bad for the kid but I am sure he is proud of himself. Fighting millennialism is just one more cause facing the future of this country, the efforts you put into fighting socialism is somewhat duplicated for this other disease.

Anna, I am with you. This show has not been funny since I was a young adult. And, I would like to find this “person” and knock that smirk off his face.
Some times “ FOOLS” work hard at defending their foolishness. Davidson seems to provide a good example of that. The sad part of all that is that so many of this current age buy into his foolishness.

Is SNL even still on??! I no longer watch network tv so I had no idea. That show stopped being funny more than 20 years ago. As far as this tool goes, never heard of him. Can’t call him a has-been, more like a never-been.

The last time I watched Saturday Night Live was when Chevy Chase, John Belushi, Gilda Radner, Dan Aykroyd, Garrett Morris, Jane Curtin, Bill Murray and Gilbert Gottfried where on, you know when the show was actually funny. I was switching channels one night and I landed on SNL. I watched the opening monologue for about five minutes and changed the channel, I thought I landed on a late night version of CNN.
