Spotify Employees Call for Strike Unless Company Censors Joe Rogan

Employees at the online music giant Spotify are now threatening to strike if the company doesn’t refuse to censor the work of ultra-popular podcaster Joe Rogan.

In particular the employees want the company to censor Rogan’s interviews with certain far-right guests such as conspiracy theorist Alex Jones.

As The Blaze reports:

According to Digital Music News, a self-described source for music industry news and analysis, Spotify employees are so angered about Rogan’s free speech that they have threatened a “full-blown strike” if the company doesn’t suppress certain “JRE” episodes and topics.

On May 19, Spotify announced that it had reached an agreement with Rogan for a “multi-year exclusive licensing deal” that is reportedly worth more than $100 million, according to The Wall Street Journal. In the deal, Spotify gets the “JRE” full library, which adds up to nearly 1,500 episodes…

On Sept. 16, Spotify held an all-hands company meeting, where Spotify CEO Daniel Ek addressed concerns about alleged “transphobic content” that was on several “The Joe Rogan Experience” podcasts, according to Motherboard.

“Some staff inside the company feel alienated by Spotify’s hosting of certain ‘The Joe Rogan Experience’ (JRE) episodes, according to copies of some of the questions presented to the meeting obtained by Motherboard,” the report stated.

OK, pay him the $100MM and he will go away, oh and lower the salaries of the current employees to try and offset some of the cost of paying off the contract. Simple!

I think we should take down Spotify. We need to blast the left. Time is closing and the evil Democrats are taking over everything. Give THEM a dose of their own medicine. Otherwise, we need to take out the Demons that are trying everything illegal to get a win in the election and all of you now it. Flood the social media email all your friends and relatives to do the same. Just get them!

Rogan needs to stand up to this. Spotify needs him more than he needs them. If he caves, I will lose a tremendous amount of respect for him and so will many others.

The censorship of people, who do not agree with a certain political narrative is a very well-known and grossly abused practice in fascist and communist countries, which are ideologically very closely related. It already happened in Hitler’s Nazi Germany, the Soviet Union, Cuba, Venezuela and a whole host of other countries with totalitarianism and dictatorships. If you want to lose your right of free speech, then vote for the Democrat Party and Slow Joe Biden. They will ensure, that inconvenient parts of the Constitution in the way to total political power will be swiftly removed.

This is more evidence of how those on the left want to shut down free speech. What are they so threatened by if someone says something they disagree with. Fools on the left say plenty that I don’t agree with, but I still believe in maintaining our 1st Amendment Rights for everyone. My recommendation is that all of these foolish staff members of Spotify who are so offended need to quit their jobs and go work for CNN or MSNBC or some other corrupt leftist organization where they will feel more comfortable.

Just part of the socialist-democrat strategy. If Louie Gohmert’s bill passes, rumor has it the democrat party will become the cancel party.

At last, after 24 days, this comment was approved. Makes for a lively give and take. Thanks.

I guess they didn’t like my comment since it’s still “awaiting for approval” after six days. But it was supportive and I gave you a +.

My reply to you has been awaiting approval for nine days now and I doubt you’ll see it even though it contains nothing negative and supports your position. Great post, kudos.

Free speech at last, but sooner would be better. Much has happened since this small commentary began so better it ends here. Good post.
