The Manhattan grand jury’s decision regarding former President Donald Trump’s hush money case will not be reached this week as previously thought. Fox News has confirmed that the grand jury will not hear any testimony, deliberate, or conduct any votes on the case on Thursday, leading to a postponement of the verdict until next week. The grand jury, which is part of a “special investigative grand jury,” is also hearing other cases.

According to The Hill, the grand jury is expected to hear from additional witnesses in the Trump hush money case next week. Leading us to wonder how much longer we may have to wait before we hear if Trump will in fact be indicted.

Although DA Bragg had informed the jury to remain on standby for Thursday after it was initially scheduled to meet on Wednesday, the panel is now expected to reconvene next week. One source would go on to tell The Daily Mail, “They are having trouble convincing the jury to swallow the case. It’s a weak case and has caused divisions in the DA’s office.”

While Trump had anticipated his arrest on Tuesday, the country eagerly waits for the grand jury’s decision. Trump faces potential indictment for falsifying business records, a misdemeanor criminal charge, and even a felony charge if prosecutors can prove that his intent to defraud included concealing a second crime.

The alleged $130,000 payment was considered an illegal donation to his campaign, which prosecutors argue was used to stop a story to benefit his presidential campaign. However, it remains to be seen how much longer the public must wait to find out the verdict.
