Robert De Niro is not happy that Brett Kavanaugh was confirmed to the Supreme Court. The award-winning actor decided he needed to vent that frustration at a recent charity gala.
According to Page Six:
Robert De Niro made his displeasure with Brett Kavanaugh‘s Supreme Court appointment known at the Children’s Diabetes Foundation’s Carousel of Hope Gala on Saturday.
“Now, one reminder,” De Niro, 75, said while receiving the Brass Ring Award in a video captured by TMZ.
“The drinks, wine and beer are flowing. But, be careful — if you have too much, you may end up on the Supreme Court.”
The remark, made just hours after Kavanaugh was confirmed and sworn in as a Supreme Court justice, was met with applause and a smattering of laughter.
De Niro has also been a longtime vocal critic of President Trump, so it is unclear if he would have been happy with any of the potential nominees President Trump was considering.
