At a recent “Beetlejuice” musical at Denver’s Buell Theatre, security cameras caught Rep. Lauren Boebert of Colorado and her boyfriend in an intense groping session. The 36-year-old Republican can be seen rubbing sensitive areas along with with her date, Aspen bar owner and Democrat, Quinn Gallagher. The theater’s staff eventually asked both to leave due to their disruptive behavior which included Boebert vaping, blocking views, using flash photography, and singing audibly. The exit from the theatre was far from subtle, with Boebert flipping off ushers as she was escorted out.
Later, the congresswoman extended an apology, linking her recent actions to personal challenges, specifically her ongoing divorce proceedings from Jayson, her partner of 18 years. The couple, who share four children and one grandchild, had legally separated earlier this year, with the reason stated as “irreconcilable differences.” She stated:
“There’s no perfect blueprint for going through a public and difficult divorce, which over the past few months has made for a challenging personal time for me and my entire family. I’ve tried to handle it with strength and grace as best I can, but I simply fell short of my values on Sunday,”
