Bryan Randall, the longtime partner of renowned actress Sandra Bullock, passed away on August 5 at the age of 57 after a three-year private battle with ALS, as revealed by his family. The family praised the medical team that guided them through the illness and thanked the nurses for their unwavering support and sacrifice. They asked for privacy to grieve and cope with the loss.

His family’s statement read:

Bryan chose early to keep his journey with ALS private and those of us who cared for him did our best to honor his request. We are immensely grateful to the tireless doctors who navigated the landscape of this illness with us and to the astounding nurses who became our roommates, often sacrificing their own families to be with ours. At this time we ask for privacy to grieve and to come to terms with the impossibility of saying goodbye to Bryan.

Randall, a model-turned-photographer, first connected with Bullock when he photographed her son’s birthday in January 2015. The couple made their relationship more public later that year. Sandra Bullock has two children, Louis, 13, and Laila, 11, and she referred to Randall as the love of her life during a December 2021 appearance on Red Table Talk. She described Randall as an example to her children, a supportive partner, and emphasized the value of commitment over formal marriage.
