Alec Baldwin’s President Trump impression has been a hit on Saturday Night Live this season, but the actor doesn’t see it lasting very long.
Baldwin told Extra’s Mario Lopez that he may not do the impression much longer, because “I don’t know how much more people can take.”
Baldwin explained that, compared with previous commanders in chief who have been impersonated on the show, “Trump just overwhelmingly lacks any sportsmanship. He remains bitter and angry, and you just want to look at him and go, ‘You won!’ “
“I think the maliciousness of this White House has people very worried, which is why I might not do it much longer, that whole impersonation,” he continued. “I don’t know how much more people can take.”
