“Saturday Night Live” hit a ratings high as the show held a funeral for Hillary Clinton’s political career.
The late night show averaged a 6.2 overnight rating among Nielsen Media’s metered-market households, according to Deadline, and a 3.9 rating in adults aged 18-49.
Those are the highest numbers in both categories that “SNL” has had all season.
The cold opener entailed Kate McKinnon — dressed as Clinton — performing Leonard Cohen’s “Hallelujah” in a tribute to both the singer (who died this week) and Clinton’s political career.
