Former Van Halen Frontman Sammy Hagar Declares He’d Be Willing To ‘Get Sick And Die’ To Save Economy

Former Van Halen frontman Sammy Hagar has announced that he is willing to get sick and even die to help save the American economy.

The 72-year-old Hagar claimed that if the economy didn’t reopen, it would actually end up killing more people in the long run.

As The Daily Wire reports:

Rolling Stone recently reached out to over a dozen famous names in the music industry to get their take on returning to the stage amid ongoing fears about COVID-19 and got a wide range of responses, including some saying they aren’t willing to die “for Trump” and others speaking candidly about the “disastrous” impact on the industry from the lockdowns. The most “radical” case for playing shows again, vaccine or no vaccine, was former Van Halen lead singer Sammy Hagar.

In a quote that has created some buzz online, Hagar, 72, said he’s all in for reopening concerts without a vaccine because if we don’t save the economy, we are “going to kill more people in the long run.”

“I’ll be comfortable playing a show before there’s a vaccine, if it’s declining and seems to be going away,” Hagar told Rolling Stone.

“I’m going to make a radical statement here,” he continued. “This is hard to say without stirring somebody up, but truthfully, I’d rather personally get sick and even die, if that’s what it takes.”

Wow, a rocker with intelligence. Obviously a lot smarter than Springsteen.

Sammy’s words to the liberals–“I’ve done everything for you. You’ve done nuthin for me”.

Sami’s doing great. More people buy alcohol means his Cabo Wabo tequila is keeping him afloat.

so that is who Jim Ladd was referring to today on his program. Hey, Sami, Jim doesn’t like what your doing. He is left, hook, line, and sinker. Talk with him, he’ll tell ya. I’m not lying.

Excellent! A ‘celebrity’ that actually exhibits a modicum of intelligence, and a businessman that realizes what will happen if things don’t soon get back to some semblance of normalcy soon.

A true Patriot, Sammy is.
He hosts his own show and is very objective on it.
Would be nice if other “journalist” would follow his model.
“I can’t drive 55”.???

Some are afraid to die or get sick. Can’ blame them, but like Sammy I would rather the world go on normal and take the risk. Lots of us at risk have lived our lives. We don’t want to die, but would rather live our lives without imprisoning ourselves and others. Living in fear is not living. Just show courtesy to us at risk. Cover your mouths when you cough or sneeze and wash your hands. If you get sick stay home unless it is absolutely necessary to go out, like for meds or food.
