Twitter began buzzing when an Instagram user shared a story from the Capitol Protest that included a selfie with a man that he claimed was Walker, Texas Ranger star Chuck Norris. Internet sleuths began picking apart the post to determine if the man was indeed Norris, or a lookalike imposter.

Here’s what they found:

Et tu, Chuck?

A screen shot of what appears to be Chuck Norris attending the Capitol Protest.

Punching Holes

But Twitter wasn’t convinced. One user wrote: “I have no doubt Chuck Norris is MAGA but this guy isn’t him. Very good lookalike but too young.”

Good Botox?

One commenter suggested Norris may have enhanced his look with elective procedures: “I dunno, he’s had plastic surgery. Dude at the riot, and Chuck last year.”

It’s in the Eyes

Another keyboard detective compared a photo of Norris with the look alike: “Chuck Norris has blue eyes, this guy has dark brown eyes.”

But Does He?

A replier poked holes in that theory: “Inconclusive. (Perceived) eye colour depends a lot on the surrounding light. In this picture, for example, it might be either brown or green.”

Chuck Undercover

Another commenter floated the theory that Norris was at the rally as an undercover agent.

Similar Style

Political Satirist Jeremy Newberger joked: “Doesn’t every 3rd dude at a MAGA rally look like Chuck Norris? And not young fit MIA fighting Bruce Lee Chuck Norris, but old weathered, too much tobacco dip Chuck Norris.”

Management’s Denial

“This is not Chuck Norris and is a wanna be look alike although Chuck is much more handsome,” his manager said. “Chuck remains on his range in Texas where he has been with his family.”

Chuck’s Response

Norris took to his unverified Twitter account to deny the claims: “I recently learned there was a Chuck Norris lookalike at the DC Capitol riots. It wasn’t me and I wasn’t there. There is no room for violence of any kind in our society. I am and always will be for Law and Order.”

Truth Spoken

A replier spoke the truth: “Twitter doesn’t verify Chuck Norris, Chuck Norris verifies Twitter.”
