Late-night host Jimmy Kimmel went after Republican Sen. Ted Cruz in the opener of his Tuesday show after taking shots at each other on Twitter.
Last week, Cruz reacted to a TikTok video that compared a fierce Russian army ad featuring chiseled determined soldiers to an animated U.S. Army ad that showed the life story of a young girl raised by two mothers growing up to become a soldier. “Holy crap,” Cruz tweeted. “Perhaps a woke, emasculated military is not the best option.”
Kimmel went after Cruz for the remarks on his Monday night show, taking shots at the Senator for supporting former President Donald Trump.
“Ted Cruz, who four years ago took permanent residence up the ass of a man who beat him in every election by calling his wife ugly and slandering his elderly father — says this is emasculating,” Kimmel snarked. “Primarily because Ted Cruz is not human — he’s a moist, gelatinous tubeworm whose elastic band pants are filled with an inky discharge every time he speaks.”
Kimmel then aired a photo of Cruz walking through an airport during his ill-timed trip to Mexico, which occurred while Texas was being battered by a paralyzing winter storm. “Army. Be All You Cancun Be. Right?” Kimmel needled. “I’ll tell you something, for a guy named Ted, he gives the worst talks.”
After the show aired, Cruz took to Twitter and posted a YouTube clip of a one-on-one basketball game against the host. “[Kimmel] keeps talking crap. Really tough guy,” he wrote. “Here’s a reminder, when we played one-on-one, I kicked his ass. He has to live with that…forever. Rematch, punk?”
Kimmel disgustingly replied, “Oh Ted… you get so sad after you ma****bate.” But he didn’t leave it at that, deciding to address their feud in the opening monologue of his Tuesday show.
“I don’t know if you know this, but we were attacked last night,” Kimmel attacked. “We were hit by another devastating Ted Cruz Twitter strike. Once again I found myself in a squabble with the Senate’s least-favorite senator, Ted Cruz, and once again guess who started it?… Me, I guess, I started it.”
Then he went after Cruz for complaining that the 2020 election was rigged. “After you won the game, do you remember what I did? I said ‘good game, thanks’ and I shook your disgusting hand,” Kimmel continued. “I didn’t complain that it was rigged, I didn’t ask for a recount on the referee, I didn’t start a conspiracy theory about the basketball having a microchip in it. I brought shame on my family and I embraced it as I always do.”
