Actress Rosanna Arquette proceeded to compare the GOP to the Taliban as the radical group continues to swarm over Afghanistan after Joe Biden’s disastrous decision to hastily retreat from the country.

While the world watches in horror as Taliban militants regain control of Kabul — reportedly attacking civilians, executing captured soldiers, demanding unmarried women as wives — actress Rosanna Arquette is comparing the terrorist group to Republicans in Congress.
“The Taliban extremists are here in America just with a different name,” the star of Netflix’s critically acclaimed series “Ratched” tweeted Sunday afternoon to her nearly 200,000 followers. “The GOP right-wing extremists who support destroying democracy are the Terrorists in America and will continue to terrorize America until they are stopped and pay for their crimes against Americans Jan 6th.”
The next morning, the 61-year-old continued with this line of reasoning, saying, “The Jan 6th terrorist attack on our capitol to overturn the election was the American version of the Taliban taking over. And Russia’s support was there too wake up.”
When a Twitter user highlighted the Taliban’s human rights abuses like selling girls into sexual slavery, forcing them to become child-brides, and murdering them in honor killings, Arquette seemed to insist the U.S. isn’t so different.

It is truly a sad statement whenever anyone refers to the United States as a democracy. It is a republic. A republic is a form of government that has set statements, i.e. a charter or constitution, that in theory creates equal standards and rights for every citizen. A democracy does not have any set charter but rather is governed by the largest group of inhabitants who can gain control. Sound familiar ?? Rosanna once had a rock music song sung about her by the band Asia, but we won’t be singing her praises anytime soon after her hateful statements about her fellow Americans who are Republicans. She might reserve her thoughts and compassion for the 11,000 Americans who remain in harm’s way in Afghanistan, thanks to the truly incompetant leadership of Joseph Biden. He will have been President for seven months this Friday, and yet Joe Biden and Jen Psaki choose this week to go on vacation while American lives hang in the balance overseas.
