Senator Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) has reportedly been ignored by Vice President Kamala Harris after failing to endorse Harris as President Joe Biden’s running mate in 2024. Warren has reportedly attempted to apologize twice to Harris for her comments, but Harris has not returned her calls. During a Boston Public Radio interview in January, Warren seemed to hesitate when asked if Harris should be Biden’s running mate, stating that she wanted to defer to what makes Biden comfortable with his team.

During an interview with a Boston Public Radio station, Elizabeth Warren created controversy by commenting on Vice President Kamala Harris, saying:

“I really want to defer to what makes Biden comfortable on his team…But they need — they have to be a team, and my sense is they are — I don’t mean that by suggesting I think there are any problems. I think they are.”

As a result, Vice President Kamala Harris reportedly refused to return Sen. Elizabeth Warren’s phone calls after the senator stopped short of endorsing Harris as President Joe Biden’s vice president in 2024. Warren has called Harris twice to apologize for her comments, according to CNN, but the vice president has not returned her calls. After the interview, Warren clarified that she fully supported a Biden-Harris ticket and never intended to imply otherwise.

Warren would go on to make a statement to GBH News, saying:

“I fully support the president’s and vice president’s reelection together and never intended to imply otherwise…They’re a terrific team with a strong record of delivering for working families.”

The failure to endorse Harris has reportedly infuriated many in Harris’ circle, who see it as the latest in a long string of snubs to a vice president whom they say has never gotten the respect or support she deserves. The negativity directed at Harris has caused concern among members of the Democratic leadership, who fear that it could prove a political problem. One Democratic Party chair reportedly stated that Harris “seems to be an albatross,” and that she will either be a liability or a supporting piece of Biden’s 2024 campaign, so the Democratic leader argues it’s essential to embrace her as she’s unlikely to be off the ticket.

In recent weeks, Democrats have expressed concern over Harris’ “basic political skills” ahead of a potential 2024 announcement. Democratic fundraiser John Morgan told the New York Times in February that Harris’ weakness as vice president will be “one of the most hard-hitting arguments against Biden.” He added that he couldn’t think of one thing she’s done except stay out of the way and stand beside him at certain ceremonies.

Warren’s failure to endorse Harris as Biden’s running mate in 2024 has caused tension between the two, and the negative attention on Harris’ performance as vice president has caused concern among Democrats. It remains to be seen how this will affect Harris’ role in Biden’s confirmed 2024 Presidental campaign.

I’ve made so far this year working online and I’m a full time student. I’m using an online business opportunity I heard about and I’ve made such great money. It’s really user friendly and I’m just so happy that I found out about it. Here’s what I do.
