Allegations Against Brand
- A total of five women have come forward with allegations, including sexual assault, rape, and emotional abuse against Russell Brand, spanning from 2006 to 2013. These accusations emerged from a combined investigation conducted by The Sunday Times, The Times, and Dispatches.
- Brand, with a following of over 6.6 million on YouTube, firmly rejects these grave allegations. In a video response, he highlighted his past high-profile media presence and promiscuity but stressed that all his relations were consensual. He also hinted at the possibility of a synchronized media campaign against him.
YouTube’s Position on Off-Platform Behavior
- The popular video-sharing platform stated that any actions by creators outside its platform that jeopardize its users, staff, or overall environment will lead to protective measures.
- This move against Brand is aligned with YouTube’s “creator responsibility policy.”
