How a Cup of Ramen Noodles Put a Man in Jail

A 6-foot-7, 200-pound Florida man was charged with domestic battery after police said he hit his live-in boyfriend with a cup of ramen noodles.

Michael Herrick and his partner got into an argument that concerned “questions of fidelity,” according to a police report.

Herrick told police he hit the other man with a cup of noodles after the man threw water on him. Police determined Herrick was the primary aggressor when “multiple family members” informed the arresting officer that he was threatening to harm himself and “acting unstable.”

The two had been in a relationship and living together for about a year, the police said.
