Odell Beckham Jr., a star wide receiver for the Baltimore Ravens, recently expressed his reaction to the film “Sound of Freedom,” which delves into the child trafficking crisis through the story of Tim Ballard, a former U.S. government agent committed to rescuing children from traffickers. Beckham, who joined the Ravens after a year of rehabbing an ACL injury, commented on the gravity of the film’s subject, stating, “I don’t even kno what to say. That’s heavy.”

“Sound of Freedom” has experienced significant financial success, garnering over $150 million at the box office. However, the film has faced criticism from media outlets such as The Guardian and Jezebel, suggesting its association with QAnon, a group known for propagating conspiracy theories. Despite this, the film itself does not propagate any such theories. Instead, it focuses on exposing the dark world of child trafficking.

Jim Caviezel, one of the lead actors in the movie, has defended the film against these media critiques. He believes that the media’s negative portrayal is due to the film’s challenge to the status quo and its emphasis on listening to one’s heart. Lamenting the lack of mainstream media coverage, Caviezel celebrates the initial ticket sales but expresses a desire for more viewership to raise awareness about the plight of trafficked children.
