Controversial Irish singer Sinead O’Connor alleges that late singer Prince chased her down a highway when she escaped from his home on foot.

O’Connor catapulted to fame when she covered the “Purple Rain” singer’s song, “Nothing Compares 2 U,” in 1990. But their professional relationship was more than rocky.

“Did I ever meet Prince? I did and we didn’t like each other. At all. Ha ha! I’m not going to go into it, but we detest each other,” she said in a 2013 interview. “It got violent too, which is why I can’t go into it, but it is a very funny story. I’ll tell it when I’m an old lady and I write my book.”

The time has apparently come for the 54-year-old to reveal the story. O’Connor reportedly wrote that Prince terrorized her when he summoned her to his Hollywood mansion. During her visit, he chastised her for repeatedly cursing in interviews and repeatedly ordered his butler to serve her soup even though she had declined it multiple times.

Things got weird when Prince “sweetly” suggested they have a pillow fight, only to put a hard object into his pillowcase on the sly and whack her with it. O’Connor said she escaped from the singer’s clutches when she snuck out of the house on foot in the middle of the night.

She claims that Prince stalked after her with his car, then jumped out and chased her onto the highway. “You’ve got to be crazy to be a musician,” O’Connor said of the Purple One, “but there’s a difference between being crazy and being a violent abuser of women.”

Though her most famous song was written by the man, it doesn’t bother her. “As far as I’m concerned, it’s my song,” she said.

Went you have lost your popularity it’s a shame when you have to cast a shadow over a dead person in a chance to regain some of your lost popularity.

We only really know what famous people want us to know, most times. In this case, we have a history of Prince being known for his business acumen and his willingness to help others, and a history of O’Connor being a complete flake. Unless others who know one or the other of these two come out with damning evidence that Prince would have behaved like this, I will believe O’Connor is full of crap.

WHO CARES! Here’s your flash in the pan fame. He’s dead and hopefully won’t bother you any more. Least of our problems is his or your personal BS. Go Make a movie out of it so you can watch it a million times with the same ending.

There is a generation or two of kids scratching their heads and wondering “who the hell us Sinead O’Connor?” And for good reason. Desperately scratching for some relevance?

Prince Rogers Nelson can no longer defend himself against Sinead’s accusations. Nothing compares to Her/ Him/ It.
